This is the first year we’ve done awards for National Parents’ Day. Personally I had never heard of the day, but after some quick research l learned that President Bill Clinton signed the bill recognizing the importance of parents into law in 1994. The day is celebrated on the 4th Sunday in July and over the past 20 years it has slowly begun to establish itself within organizations and communities across the nation.
