Recently I heard a news article on the radio about Craft Whiskey Distillers and was surprised to learn that there are over 200 micro-distilleries operating in the USA. A quick Google search later and I found that there are 4 distilleries within a few miles of my house and there are a number of whiskey festivals and tastings.
Not knowing too much about the art of Distilling I am looking forward to following this new trend in micro brewing and learning about locally produced Whiskey, Rye, Bourbon and Rum.
Here are two links that I’ve added to my favorites, perhaps you will find them helpful as well.

The growth in craft whiskey may also explain the growth in our decanter business. Over the past year we’ve engraved more and more decanters and decanter sets. Many of them for retirement gifts or a gifts to the boss. What a great present a locally produced whiskey or bourbon with a custom engraved decanter! That’s a gift that will be remembered! Or instead of wine flutes – elegant whiskey glasses?
planning to visit Palm Ridge Distillers in March – I hope I can make the tour they have planned.
