What’s the difference between a Decanter and a Carafe?

Every time we get a new decanter or carafe in, our office turns into a mini battlefield. We usually all agree on whether or not the piece fits our standards, good quality, good clarity of glass or crystal and of course room to engrave. However the fight begins when we try to decide whether or not it should be called a decanter or a carafe.

Following the Craft Whiskey Trend

Recently I heard a news article on the radio about Craft Whiskey Distillers and was surprised to learn that there are over 200 micro-distilleries operating in the USA. A quick Google search later and I found that there are 4 distilleries within a few miles of my house and there are a number of whiskey festivals and tastings.
